THE 2026 RULES, POINTS AND PRIZES
GENERAL RULES
Drive one of the published routes (either direction) ANYTIME during the event period of June 1 – August 31, 2026. It’s a self-directed loop route so you can start anywhere on the route. You must be 18 or older to register for the event.
Points are scored by visiting specific Points of Interest along the route, buying food at local restaurants, and donating to Gleaners. Additional wildcard and bonus points will be awarded as described in the detailed rules for each route.
All points are submitted by email.
NEW FOR 2026!
There are now 2 different routes (and competitions) available for The Tire Squeal 2026:
1) The classic Schweinefiletring™ route which has the full set of point-scoring activities and has more prize opportunities and larger prize packages. This route is for participants who want to be the big pig!
2) The new, shorter Schweinchen Half Rack™ which has a subset of scoring activities and fewer prize opportunities. This is a great route for individuals or teams that still want to have a fun time driving but are less interested in the prize aspect of the event.
You don’t have to make the choice of routes when you register. You will automatically be assigned to a competition by the points you've submitted during the event. This will allow you to change your mind, or consolidate your team score before submitting your points. However, once you submit points, there are restrictions in your ability to switch competition. So be sure to read the rules carefully for the two competitions!
Teams can have individuals run either of the two competitions. HOWEVER, the team results will be split into two distinct sub teams which will compete for prizes only within their competition.
